But, I am committed to learning how to live a better, healthier more sustainable life and I hope to inspire others to do the same. The purpose of this blog is to share my experiences with eating Paleo, training Crossfit, learning to grow veggies and optimising sleep. My intention is to also share my opinions, musings, recipes I adapt or create and any tips that have worked for myself and my husband Andrew.
Please be aware that there are very divergent views within the health, nutrition and fitness fields. There are totally conflicting opinions on what is correct, true or plausible as: an explanation for what is observed, interpretation of study results or an underlying mechanism. It is important to also keep in mind that on average, the half-life of a “knowledge or truth” could be as little as 5 years before it is superseded or shown to be untrue.
So, any information or advice on this blog should not be taken as gospel or replace medical advice. Please consult a medical professional before making any drastic changes to your diet and exercise regime.
You are responsible for your own choices, so do your own due diligence (DYODD) people!
I reserve the right to change my opinion on any issue as I grow and learn more about nutrition and exercise. The opinions of thought leaders in these fields will inevitably change over time as new research is conducted and new information becomes available or is reinterpreted. There will always, continue to be differences in opinion between these experts, so DYODD.
Trial and error is a big part of working out what works best for us all individually. There is no one size fits all. Any case studies that I present based on experimentation on myself and sometimes others, cannot possibly be statistically significant and should be viewed in context. We all have different genetics, lifestyles and baseline situations so what works for me may work for you. Or on the other hand, it may not work for you, it may even work initially then not work so well. Before trying anything for yourself consider if it is appropriate for your situation, DYODD.
I am not overweight and to my knowledge have no metabolic derangement or medical conditions that might impact on any results observed, apart from some acne, eczema and a niggly ankle mobility issue. My blood work is pretty normal and I certainly could not be accused of over-training!
I do get a small “finder’s fee” if you choose to buy some of the products that are displayed on wwww.eatsleepmove.com.au.
